Slimming mud wraps with essential oils
Swimsuit anxiety is in the air, even for those who are more athletic and health-conscious. Toxins accumulated during winter often manifest as slight swelling in the lower limbs, a physiological effect that can be treated and overcome with some care, healthier food choices, and more physical activity. Mud wraps, for example, are an inexpensive and extremely effective remedy against water retention. In a completely natural way, these compresses help reduce skin imperfections and improve microcirculation, promoting the elimination of toxins. A simple and effective recipe Let's look at an effective "do-it-yourself" recipe for leg treatment that can be made with natural and readily available ingredients. Green clay is a precious raw material for body care: it is an excellent cellular regenerator, counteracts skin aging and, thanks to its high mineral content, promotes the elimination of accumulated toxins. It actively combats cellulite by absorbing liquids and metabolic waste by osmosis. The caffeine contained in coffee grounds, in parallel, has fat-reducing and draining properties. Adding a few drops of essential oils with purifying and circulatory action to the clay and coffee will significantly enhance the effects of the compress. 6 teaspoons of ventilated green clay 1 coffee ground 1 teaspoon of almond oil 5 drops of Lemon essential oil 3 drops of Rosemary essential oil Green Tea Infusion as needed Method Add the essential oils to the almond oil. In a bowl (preferably not metal: it could alter the properties of the clay) prepare a mixture of clay, coffee, and green tea (at room temperature) that has the consistency of a cream. Add the oils to the mixture and cover the bowl containing the mud with cling film. Let it rest for about 30 minutes. Application Massage the mixture with circular movements on legs and buttocks. Then, cover the treated areas with cling film and leave on for 30-40 minutes. Once the film is removed, rinse the area with water, preferably cold, or at least not hot. For more evident and lasting results, it is recommended to repeat the application every five days, for 5 or 6 consecutive times. Caution: mud wraps, although very popular and without particular contraindications, are not recommended for those with thyroid problems, those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, and during menstruation. Other essential oils you can use for a slimming wrap: Lemon (Citrus limonum) - toning: stimulates lymphatic and venous circulation, strengthens blood vessels - purifies the skin - cellular regenerator, fights aging processes while promoting healing (combats wrinkles, stretch marks) Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) - lipolytic, counteracts localized adiposity - stimulates the lymphatic system - circulatory, promotes tissue oxygenation - astringent - on the skin, it has a toning, antiseptic and purifying effect Mandarin (Citrus reticulata) - circulatory and lymphatic - prevents and counteracts stretch marks - dissolves fat accumulations Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus dives) - restores tone to the dermis - dissolves adiposity (lipolytic) - purifies the skin Juniper (Juniperus communis) - invigorating - purifying, rebalances oily skin - lymphatic drainage Cypress (Cupressus sempervirens) - vasoconstrictor - strengthens blood capillaries - diuretic and draining Grapefruit (Citrus paradisi) - helps reduce appetite - reactivates metabolism - purifying, eliminates toxins from tissues, supporting the lymphatic system Lavender (Lavandula officinalis) - soothing and anti-inflammatory - tones relaxed skin, also recommended in the presence of stretch marks - purifying and invigorating A cheerful greeting (and yes, you are beautiful just the way you are!)
