Essential Oils for the Care of Vegetable Gardens and Gardens

Essential oils are produced by plants as a defense against fungi, bacteria, viruses, and molds. This is precisely why they are excellent deterrents for pests and insects and can be used for garden care that fully respects the environment and nature, avoiding harmful poisons. There are, of course, insects beneficial for pollination, such as bees, wasps, and butterflies, which are, on the contrary, attracted by some oils, including Coriander. Patchouli, Pine, Peppermint, Lavender, Lemongrass, Sage, Thyme, Rosemary, and Garlic are among the most recommended essential oils to make our harvest stronger, tastier, and healthier, protecting the vegetable garden and garden from parasites, insects, and molds. A series of different techniques can be used for application, depending on the plant, the growing area, and the specific need. Let's look at some: -Sprays: mix 4 to 8 drops of essential oil in 4 liters of water. Shaking and nebulizing the compound directly on the plant can repel insects, eliminate molds and fungi, and promote plant growth. -Cotton strips: a solution for particularly tall trees and plants consists of tying cotton strips soaked in essential oil to the branches. This technique is also very pleasing to the eye; the fabric strips can create a real decoration for the garden. -Cotton wool: if a den or nest is found dangerously close to our plants, inserting a cotton ball soaked with a few drops of essential oil inside it will drive away insects, mice, and moles from our vegetable garden or garden without harming the animal in any way. -Boxes: to deter snails, mice, dogs, and cats from the vegetable garden or garden, you can use a buried plastic box, leaving its edge at ground level. Place a few drops of Peppermint, Eucalyptus, or Thyme essential oil inside: dogs and cats do not like overly strong scents as they alter their sense of smell. However, our four-legged friends love Lavender and Orange, so we advise against using them in the box. -Twine: to keep flying insects away from crops, twine soaked in water and essential oil can be used between rows of vegetables.
