The Atlantic Cedar, a tool for meditation
The Atlas Cedar (Cedrus Atlantica) is a plant named after the Atlas mountain range in Algeria. The name "cedar" comes from the Arabic kedron, meaning "power". The oil extracted from this wood was anciently exported from Lebanon to Egypt, where it was believed to be imperishable and was therefore used in embalming processes, and in the preparation of cosmetics and perfumes. Nowadays, the best oils come from Morocco. Even today, in Tibet, Atlas Cedar is used as incense in temples, as well as in traditional medicine. This essential oil develops a propensity for spirituality and proves to be a great help for meditative practice. Calming and persistent, its aroma elevates mind and psyche, alleviating anxieties and fears. Imposing and regal, it is a symbol of nobility, strength, and grandeur. It provides a sense of protection that is also manifested in the structure of the plant with its long, arm-like branches. Household use and properties: -Exceptional expectorant and decongestant, it alleviates the symptoms of bronchitis -It has great affinity with the urogenital system, alleviating the discomfort of cystitis and similar disorders -Stimulates lymphatic drainage and the disposal of accumulated fats; its diuretic action combats water retention. -Can be useful in cases of acne, dandruff, dermatitis, oily skin, and skin ulcers. -Powerful antifungal, it is particularly effective when applied to the affected area -Stimulates hair growth, useful in cases of alopecia. -Its invigorating quality is indicated as support in depression, it helps maintain a sense of reality, alleviating fears, anxieties, and phobias.
