Acqua dell'Angelo: the research

This fragrance water is born from plants that, in popular tradition, have long been associated with the purity of Angels.
Ours was a historical research that went back to the origins of phytotherapeutic tradition, discovering those plants that, starting from 1400 (with aqua mirabilis), were linked in popular customs to angelic figures and all turned out to be purifying plants.

The tradition of angelic plants

Myrtle
From Myrtle, aqua mirabilis or "angel water" was obtained, which was used in ancient times by ladies to improve their complexion with a toning and refreshing action. It is considered the plant of purity, and, in particular, of angelic purity.

Bergamot
The essential oil, extracted from the fruit peel, has a fresh and enveloping, almost floral scent. It uplifts the mood, relaxes the mind, sharpens the senses, and induces inner calm. Its regenerating action instills joy and soothes emotional pain. It is said to be the scent of Paradise; Citrus Paradisi is, in fact, its botanical name.

Litsea
The essential oil, extracted by steam distillation from small berries, has an intense and fruity citrus scent that suits anyone desiring mental clarity and energy. The plant is an evergreen tree and is cultivated in China, Indochina, India, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam, where popular tradition says it creates a connection with angels and is called mai chang (angel's call). The reason for this legend is easily deduced: Litsea is a sedative, neurovegetative balancing, antidepressant, and natural anxiolytic. It helps fight fears, phobias, insomnia, and nervousness, creating internal and external harmony. Perfect for a light-filled awakening and an invigorating shower, it is very suitable for diffusing in study and work environments, where it helps combat fatigue and sharpen concentration.

Mandarin
Extracted from the fruit peel, the essential oil has a sweetness that carries a message of simple playfulness, awakening and supporting the child within us. Its action on the psycho-emotional sphere induces greater sincerity with oneself. In its highest vibrations, it is associated with the energy of the Child Jesus.

Lemon
Its fresh scent, with purifying properties, calms and refreshes the mind, increases clarity and concentration, and alleviates fears. We associate it with purity and protection. Lemon is a tribute to sunlight, which brings us back to its full splendor, providing balance and harmony.

Frankincense
Its name comes from the Latin incendere, meaning to burn, to shine: it has always been associated with the fire of divinity. Salty, rich, and spicy, the essential oil is extracted from the resin of the shrub that grows in the Red Sea region. Its sweet and aromatic scent favors contact with one's spirituality and the subtler aspects of existence. It predisposes to calm and meditation, stimulating higher psychic faculties. Always linked to sacredness, in the act of prayer, it creates a conduit between human beings and the Divine.

Eucalyptus
The color that represents it is blue, one of the colors of Saint Michael. Its balsamic scent aids breathing and "opens the chest," dissipating stagnant melancholy. It revives the spirit and helps create a greater sense of freedom. In the same way it purifies the air and prevents the spread of diseases, it offers us its protection by energetically cleansing the places we inhabit.

Archangel Michael

The historical research that led to Acqua dell’Angelo was commissioned by a municipality in Romagna whose patron saint is Saint Michael Archangel, a figure deeply felt throughout the Mediterranean area. Since then, we have begun a long study of this figure: Saint Michael is the protector of laboratories, creativity, and technology. An Angel depicted with a sword, protecting humanity. In ancient early Christian traditions, Saint Michael was associated with the element of fire, present precisely in the fruits and berries, which we then included in Acqua dell’Angelo.
