Small habits for big smiles - Essential oils for sports activities

Spring inspires change, energy flows like tree sap, and many people feel the urge to take care of their bodies, exercise outdoors, and rediscover a sport perhaps abandoned during the winter months. Resuming training is always a bit difficult, at least at the beginning. Essential oils are a very effective aid, not only in treating injuries but especially in keeping muscles toned and improving circulation. In addition to alleviating pain, they help with the concentration and positivity necessary to undertake physical activity. Olympic athletes make extensive use of them, especially in preparation treatments. Here are some recipes to fully enjoy their properties in sports activities. Formula for jogging and the gym Dilute in 30ml of vegetable oil (or follow the proportions): 15 drops of Eucalyptus 15 drops of Rosemary 5 drops of Thyme This mixture can be used to strengthen the body by rubbing it in before training. Breathe deeply; Eucalyptus and Rosemary will help breathing during aerobic activity. Essential oils for flexible and toned muscles: Orange, Basil, Cypress, Juniper, Lavender, Peppermint, Grapefruit, Rosemary, Ginger. The principle is always dilution in a vegetable oil. Massage, along with the circulatory and invigorating properties of some oils, improves the results of sports activity. Mint, Ginger and Eucalyptus can also be used to treat over-stimulated and sore muscles. The concentration here is higher: 5 drops of each in a tablespoon of vegetable oil. Lavender remains one of the best soothing oils for skin and muscle pain. For massage, we mix it with a cold-pressed food-grade almond oil --> see Elixir. A tip? After physical activity, if you are particularly tired, it is better to use relaxing oils instead of stimulating ones, as further stimulation can increase the feeling of tiredness. We therefore recommend, both for enriching the bath with a few drops and for nebulization: Lavender, Bergamot, Orange, Frankincense, Lemon, Sage, Chamomile. Shall we go for a run next to a beautiful cherry field? P.S.: If you love outdoor activities and Nature but don't like getting stung by mosquitoes, check here, we thought of you!
