From the magic of Myrtle to the victorious Bay Laurel, from the mysterious Artemisia to the refined Juniper, to the sun of Helichrysum and the sea of wild Rosemary: an airy and invigorating synergy.

This synergy comes from a study conducted on site during a several-month stay, specifically in Cala Sabina. The composition respects the quantities of plants actually present in nature, which is why the main note is Juniper, or Sabina juniper, from which the cove takes its name.

Rosemary

Its name derives from "Ros Maris", meaning "dew of the sea", or from "Rosa Maris" or "rose of the sea". It has always been a symbol of immortality, both for its resistance to bad weather and for its salty and burning scent reminiscent of the solemnity of incense, which was said to attract souls. Rosemary strengthens consciousness and gives strength and security. For this reason, it has historically been used in marital rites as a symbol of loyalty and fidelity. Rosemary helps with concentration in studies and memory; Roman students used to place some branches on their desks. Its invigorating freshness awakens confidence and the strength of feelings.

Bay Laurel

It has always been the scent of victory and knowledge. The warm, intense, and spicy scent of Bay Laurel brings awareness, dignity, and security. A solar, evergreen tree, in antiquity it represented mental clarity and an inspired, creative mind capable of important decisions. Physically, it increases resistance and facilitates digestive processes.

Sage

Its name derives from the Latin "salvus," meaning safe. Its healing power was so well known that it earned the name "Salvia Officinalis"; in the countryside, it was believed that the health of spouses and their firstborn depended on the health of the Sage in the garden. It was anciently used for divinatory purposes. In fact, Clary Sage increases the ability to dream: a few drops on the pillow or on a handkerchief increase dream activity. A plant to surround oneself with, to smell when awaiting an intuition.

Helichrysum

A Sardinian legend tells the story of a mother who, desperate for the health of her sick children, dreamed that the Virgin Mary cleaned their room with a broom made of Helichrysum. It was by using Helichrysum teas and infusions that the mother managed to cure them. This plant, which takes its name from the Sun and Gold, is known as the "Immortal" because it survives the most extreme conditions and does not change color or smell even when cut. Its scent supports us in facing any difficulty.

Fennel

Together with Anise, Caraway, and Cumin, it is part of the "four warm seeds," digestive and carminative seeds that aid metabolism. In Roman times, in addition to making food more digestible, it was used to impart strength and vigor: gladiators chewed its seeds in the arena and were crowned with branches of this plant. Fennel was used for protection, even to defend against evil spirits, so much so that it was later used during the Witch Hunt. Its scent can be used when feeling psychologically threatened by people or situations. It helps improve communication and stimulate creativity.

Myrtle

A plant dedicated to Venus, in ancient culture (Greeks, Etruscans, and Romans) it was a good omen, a symbol of purity and love, so much so that it earned the name "Myrtus Coniugalis". Myrtle has always been connected to purification, which is why it was used to crown heads, to mark newborns, and to cleanse battlefields. A plant to use to combat negative moods, obsessive thoughts, and mental dullness.

Juniper

The Juniper is a plant rich in meanings. It derives from the Greek aekèuthos, from arkeo, a verb meaning "to ward off": it wards off illnesses, snakes, enemies, but even more so evil and unpleasant thoughts. This was the case in pagan customs, later absorbed by Christian ones, so much so that it is said that the Holy Family was hidden from Herod by a Juniper tree. Its strength is confirmed by the fact that its wood is not attacked by woodworms. It is useful after an unpleasant encounter or in moments of particular stress. In the scent of Sardinia, it is certainly one of the most characteristic notes.
