Coconut oil is naturally rich in medium-chain fatty acids, particularly lauric acid,
which has documented affinity with keratin and is known in literature for its antimicrobial activity. In synergy with other saturated fatty acids such as myristic and palmitic acids, it gives the oil a strong protective and nourishing capacity, useful for both skin and hair and nails.
